Okay so I have a backpack from when I was in grade 1. I wrote my name on it in permanent marker (which is really ugly) and I am now in grade 7. It has faded but you can still see it. I wanted to take it on an excursion because it is small, but it has my name on it. I dont want everybody on my bus to see it. Please Help, I've already tried products like Nappysan to get rid of stains.

    1. Unfortunately, permanent mean just that…permanent. It’s not going to come out. Your best bet, if you don’t want to buy a new backpack, is sew a patch over top of it. Good luck!

    2. Try rubbing alcohol and some elbow grease. I use it on a daily basis to remove sharpie marks.

    3. Are you sure you don’t want to just buy another backpack? You’ve had that one a long time. However, if you really want to keep this backpack, you can remove the marker with a graffiti remover…these are actually made to remove ink.The only graffiti remover I can vouch for is Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover, since it is the only one I have ever used personally. What did not work for me: Hair Spray, Rubbing Alcohol, Nail Polish Remover, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Hand Sanitizer, and even WD-40. But the Krud Kutter did work.Spray Krud Kutter onto the ink marks. Rub gently and let sit for about 10 minutes. Then launder the backpack in your washing machine. Warm water, regular laundry detergent. Hang to air dry.Krud Kutter is specifically made to remove ink, so it actually works. It’s a little pricey, but you’ll be surprised how often you use it. You can buy Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover at Target, Home Depot, and most hardware stores. You can also buy it over the Internet: [external link]
